FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
DIRECT HIRE
$25-$39 ( Dependent on experience)
Overview: Seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to support generator, turbine, and industrial power systems across a variety of applications including power generation, utilities, and manufacturing environments. This role offers significant travel opportunities, strong benefits, and the stability of an employee-owned company. Key Details:
Travel: ~90% travel during January–April (peak season); heavy travel year-round with lighter periods outside of busy months
Home Base: Brighton facility when not traveling
Responsibilities:
Perform field service, maintenance, and repair on power generation and industrial equipment
Support installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of systems
Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate with clients and internal teams
Expenses: All flights, hotels, and travel-related expenses covered
Per Diem: $35/day meal allowance
Benefits:
Fully paid medical and dental insurance
Employee-owned company – eligible to purchase company stock after one year
Pay Schedule: Paid monthly (on the 15th of each month)
Overtime: Paid on the following month’s paycheck (OT from January paid in February, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply the principles of mechanics, electricity, electronics, and hydraulics to perform troubleshooting, field repairs, rebuilds, and make technical decisions
Disassembly, assembly, machining, welding, general fabrication, NDT inspection, wiring, and reading technical documents
Communicate with the customers on-site throughout process
This position requires all field service technicians to be available on-call occasionally in order to respond to customer needs and may require traveling extended periods of time, including weekends
Perform follow-up services
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with basic measurement tools.
Ability to recognize materials used to rebuild engines and components
Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems
Ability to weld or the capability to learn
Ability to work in a team
Employee provides own work tools (company partial payroll deduction for specialty tools)
Willingness to learn to read, interpret, and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints/schematics
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Able to lift 60lbs.
Experience with technician’s instruments and tools, both mechanical and electrical (Preferred)
Experience reading, understanding, working from mechanical and electrical blueprints/schematics (Preferred)
