Job Description
Labor & Employment Associate – Houston, Texas Our client is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated associate with 2 years of labor & employment litigation experience to join our nationally recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in their Houston office. The expectation is to spend at least 3 to 4 days a week onsite.
Qualified candidates will have experience with temporary restraining orders and temporary injunction expedited relief proceedings, as well as trade secret misappropriation and noncompete litigation wage and hour class action litigation, and single plaintiff employment litigation. Strong legal writing skills and experience with discovery, motion practice, and researching and drafting pleadings, motions and other court filings required. Experience with trial preparation in both state and federal courts and participation in settlement conferences and negotiations preferred.
They are seeking a team-oriented associate with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic who has demonstrated client relationship and business development skills and an ability to thrive in busy, collegial environments. Top academics and experience required.
To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the Texas Bar.
The expected salary for this position is $240,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
