Our client has engaged QPT in locating a talented Process Technician to join their growing team. We are looking for experienced Process Techs with a strong background in plastic injection molding. This role supports new and existing program launches and helps optimize production efficiency. You’ll be first in line to troubleshoot machines, robots, and other equipment—so hands-on experience is key. Key Responsibilities:
Perform machine start-ups and changeovers
Troubleshoot injection molding machines, molds, robots, and material issues
Maximize machine uptime and respond to alarms or defects
Make process adjustments to improve quality and reduce scrap
Maintain accurate process documentation
Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives
Follow all OSHA and internal safety protocols
Requirements:
3–5+ years in plastic injection molding
Solid experience with mold set-ups and troubleshooting
Familiarity with plant machinery, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Mechanical aptitude and comfort in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Willingness to stay current with industry and equipment updates
Nice to Have:
Robotics experience
Strong understanding of tools, plastics, and injection mold machinery
Physical Requirements: Must be comfortable in a manufacturing setting. Role includes lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, crouching, bending, and working with hands/tools.
