SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in fabricating complex components using various metals. This role requires strong attention to detail, a high level of technical proficiency and sound mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on both custom and production projects. The Senior Fabricator will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating machinery, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in all fabricated products.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize advanced welding, cutting, bending, and machining techniques to fabricate metal, plastic, or composite components.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of fabrication tools and machinery, including rollers, band saws lathes, mills, and welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Plan and lay out fabrication sequences and processes based on specifications.
  • Assemble fabricated components into finished products or structures, ensuring appropriate alignment and fit.
  • Must be able to take field measurements and then fabricate a wide variety of custom products from start to finish.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues or defects, making necessary adjustments to meet quality and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, management, and customers to discuss design modifications and production timelines.
  • Document fabrication processes and maintain records of work performed.
  • Provide guidance and training to other fabricators by sharing knowledge and expertise to develop their skills.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Regularly inspect equipment and tools for proper maintenance and safe operation.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must possess forward thinking with the ability to anticipate potential issues in the building process and ensure that all parts will fit and work as specified.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience in operating fabrication machinery and tools.
  • Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator, with at least 5-7 years in a similar role.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team or independently.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in a fabrication environment.
