BUILD TECHNICIANOVERVIEW:Assist in design, development and improve manufacturing processes of new or existing product by building and testing of prototype and low volume vehicles and electro-mechanical devices. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assemble, Inspect, diagnose repair and/or replace mechanical / electrical parts and components
Build and service mechatronic systems
Assist the engineering department with regard to product design to resolve product difficulties.
Assembling & installing PCBAs
Use of power tools required, to modify sheet metal and plastic components; this includes A-surface components.
Ability to interpret CAD images, blueprints, schematics; basic PC skills required
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree or Journeyman / Apprenticeship training preferred
4 years’ experience in an automotive environment, preferred.
Experience working in a team environment is highly desired.
Ability to lead a team of people
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to stand in excess of 6 hours.
Ability to move around a production line environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer, requires local travel to Customer Facility as required, must be able to squat and lift to fifty pounds.
