We are partnering with a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment located in Wixom, MI, in search of an Electrical Controls Project Engineer to join their growing team. About the Role:This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in AutoCAD Electrical and Allen Bradley systems, and a passion for designing, developing, and implementing complex industrial control systems. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team, contributing to high-impact projects for customers across the U.S. and globally. Key Responsibilities:
Design electrical control systems using AutoCAD Electrical
Develop PLC and HMI programs
Specify and design motor control and relay circuits
Issue bills of materials and technical drawings
Work with process controllers and variable frequency drives
Provide manufacturing and start-up support
Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and compliance standards
Collaborate cross-functionally and support field installations as needed
Participate in R&D efforts when assigned
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
Minimum 2 years of experience in controls engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Allen Bradley systems
Strong understanding of NFPA 70 and NFPA 79 standards
Hands-on experience with PLC hardware/software, HMI development, and industrial networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, etc.)
