Maintenance Technician – 2nd shift Location: Wixom, MI Job Type: Full-Time | Direct HirePay: $30-35/hr. We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support 2nd shift operations at a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in Wixom, MI. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team that builds and maintains complex, high-value manufacturing systems used in heat treatment processes across a wide range of industries including automotive and general manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment including mechanical, electrical, and piping systems
Troubleshoot and repair control systems, combustion components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Support the setup, testing, and validation of mechanical and electrical sub-systems according to engineering documentation and operating procedures
Assist with system checkouts to ensure all components operate safely and within specification
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and issues encountered
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement process improvements and resolve equipment issues
Follow safety and compliance protocols while working with high-temperature systems and electrical components
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance, preferably in a heavy industrial or equipment manufacturing environment
Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience strongly preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment
Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, combustion systems, and piping layouts
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
Comfortable working independently and within a team-based environment
Solid understanding of safety practices and preventive maintenance principles
