Job Description


MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
  • Location: Plymouth
  • Job Type: Direct Hire
  • Shifts: 2nd and 3rd
  • Compensation: $58-62k

Maintains all production equipment, support equipment and building maintenance as directed by supervisor. Facility is a Teir one automotive plastic component supplier – majority of equipment is associated with Injection Molding processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete all preventive maintenance activities assigned by supervisor.
  • Oil, grease and clean all areas as needed through work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment as generated by work orders.
  •  Insure safety and housekeeping standards are met.
  • May be assigned out-sort work, programs, and/or training, due to upgrades of job title as assessed by management team.
  • The following documents will be the responsibility of a maintenance technician for review and/or function.
  •  Various Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly Preventative Maintenance checks including Power House (D), Air Compressors (M), Floor Sweeper and scrubber (M), Thermolator (Temp Control Units) (M), Dryers (M), IMM (D,M,Q), Robots (M), Sprinkler System (Q), Conveyors (W), Vacuum Pump (M), Assembly Fixture Verifications (D)follow work instructions as related to all preventative maintenance aspects including Completion of Work Orders, setting up future Predictive Maintenance, and Equipment Maintenance itself.
  •  Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
  •  Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.

REQUIREMENTS:
  •  Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent experience in Maintenance.
  •  Previous experience from a Plastic Injection Molding facility in a maintenance capacity.
  •  Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.
  •  Mechanical aptitude, Experience in an industrial production environment desired, trouble shooting skills, flexible schedule and willing to work overtime on short notice.
  •  Knowledge of safety in an industrial setting.
