Finance ManagerDirect HireHarrisonburg-Position is on site daily$90-110k Job Overview:The Senior Manager of Finance and Administration is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, administrative functions, and strategic technology initiatives within the company. This role will lead the finance team, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), IT, and HR, ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance and administration, with experience in manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Produce monthly and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, including reconciliation of accounts.
  • Provide needed and required information to the CPA firm for tax return completion and other reporting needs.
Cost Accounting & COGS Analysis:
  • Maintain detailed cost accounting systems for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Analyze product costs, production efficiencies, and margin performance.
  • Work with operations to enhance inventory tracking and cost allocation.
Cash Management & Financial Controls:
  • Optimize the company’s cash cycle, including AR/AP management.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.
Technology & IT Management:
  • Oversee the IT Manager, ensuring robust ERP, WMS, and network infrastructure.
  • Support ongoing SAP Business One enhancements and data integrity.
Human Resources & Administrative Oversight:
  • Oversee the HR Manager, ensuring compliance with labor laws and effective HR policies.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies as the company scales.
  • Collaborate on workforce planning to align staffing needs with business objectives.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Manage and mentor direct reports: IT Manager, HR Manager, AP Specialist, and Accountant/AR Specialist.
  • Foster collaboration between finance, operations, and IT to drive business efficiency.
Ad Hoc Projects & Strategic Analysis:
  • Provide financial analysis for cost savings initiatives and pricing strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and administrative processes.
 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, with a background in manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
