Job description Our client is a compliance company that primarily services property management firms, by providing cutting-edge insurance compliance verification through their proprietary web application and client portal. They are a premier provider by reducing risk to property management firms, alleviating their workload, and increasing their bottom line by taking away the pain of vetting vendors to work on their properties. Qualified has been engaged in finding a Senior Software Developer looking to work in an exciting startup environment, with a desire to grow as the company grows. Their technology stack is a MEAN Stack with some slight variations (MySQL, Express, Angular, NodeJS). The primary focus in this role will be to assist the Lead developer with writing code, troubleshooting, and fixing common bugs that arise from testing and code review, and coming to the table with a desire to grow and improve your knowledge of the technology stack and the business. Specifically, this role will specialize in building API libraries to interface with our growing list of 3rd party partners, in addition to documenting our current API functionality, as well as build out additional application functionality as needed. Responsibilities
Develop and write code based on tasks provided
Ability to work alone on tasks/projects as assigned with minimal supervision
Fix bugs in code during code review and during QA
Advanced knowledge in NodeJS, MySQL, and API development.
Ability to document APIs for development, as well as provide technical documentation to other members of the business
Participate in stand-up meetings to notate any potential concerns, current bugs, or possible conflicts with the current development sprint
Skills and Qualifications
High Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
High Proficiency in NodeJS
High Proficiency in SQL (preferably MySQL)
Excellent Technical Writing abilities
Advanced Knowledge of Asynchronous JavaScript development and modern JS/TS application frameworks such as Angular
Knowledge of version control and code repositories
Basic knowledge of Git
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Computer Science Degree (BSc) or Bachelor of Computer Information Systems (BSc CIS) and;
7+ Years of demonstrable industry experience
Examples of written code
Examples of software, mobile applications, and/or online web applications.
Examples of previous technical writing documentation (proposals, API documentation, etc.)
