SENIOR VEHICLE ELECTRONICS ENGINEER
JOB SUMMARY:Our client is looking for a Senior Vehicle Electronics (Vetronics) Engineer to work at their Sterling Heights, MI location. If you have at least 8 years’ experience of Vetronics experience, and have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, we are interested in reviewing your qualifications!
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. BSc Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Automotive)
  2. 8-10 years of Vetronics experience
  3. Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs
  4. Experience with standard bus protocols (CANBus, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553)
  5. Experience with military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems
  6. Experience with bid capture, contract negotiations and delivery planning.
  7. Experience of working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment.
  8. Experience with engineering and supply chain management in a highly regulated industry.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Develop vehicle electrical architecture
  2. Requirements analysis and decomposition
  3. Research and analyze solutions to meet customer requirements
  4. Develop vehicle electrical and power distribution concepts and architectures
  5. Perform trade studies to compare alternative approaches
  6. Integration of military lethality, survivability and C4ISR systems
  7. Requirements management, generation and decomposition activities
  8. Develop requirement specs, drawings, schematics and ICDs
  9. Support prototype development and test
  10. Support system integration lab development
  11. Create and maintain electrical power budgets and allocations
  12. Perform analytical analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance
  13. Support proposal activities
  14. Interact with external customers and suppliers
  15. Component/Vehicle test support
    1. Understand/create test requirements
    2. Create/review test plans
    3. Monitor/analyze test results
    4. Troubleshoot issues and perform corrective action
  16. Project Management
    1. Understand/create project schedules
    2. Maintain project open issues lists
    3. Prepare/ present project status
      1. Support concurrent engineering, procurement and prototype build/integration activities by providing technical assistance.
  17. MSc Engineering desired (e.g. Electrical, Systems, Software, Aerospace, Automotive, Management)
  18. Ability to speak German Desired
