SIMULATION ENGINEER DIRECT HIREOakland County, Michigan90-110K Our client is seeking an experienced Simulation Engineer to spearhead advanced modeling processes, developing 3D computer simulations of a range of systems such as equipment, warehouses, manufacturing plants, automotive components, and more. The goal is to provide clients with insights into potential challenges, opportunities, and areas for optimization prior to actual implementation. In this role, the Simulation Engineer will apply advanced manufacturing and lean simulation methods to support critical decision-making and engineering solutions. The models you create will distill complex concepts into clear, visually accessible presentations that resonate with diverse audiences, including stakeholders and investors. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain comprehensive libraries of assets to support simulation activities.
Build and evaluate models for systems such as gantry and bridge cranes, as well as Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
Carry out detailed analyses, including assessments of delivery routes, workforce efficiency, throughput/bottleneck identification, downtime minimization, and resource allocation optimization.
Execute simulations for various production lines, conveyor configurations, and material handling systems
Design, verify, and optimize simulation models through dynamic simulation software, using Siemens Plant Simulation.
Compile findings into thorough reports, offering strategic insights and actionable recommendations for enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Science Engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in creating simulation models, with a strong working knowledge of Siemens Plant Simulation.
Skilled in Discrete Event Simulation and experienced in developing material flow solutions.
Required programming experience with SimTalk in Plant Simulation for designing complex algorithms.
Foundational skills in AutoCAD.
Proficient with the MS Office suite and able to work effectively in a high-energy, autonomous environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Background in a manufacturing engineering environment.
Knowledge of various transportation systems
