Accounting SpecialistDirect Hire Location: Onsite | Monday through Friday | 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay: Target $25.00 - $ 28.00 based on experience. Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their growing finance team. This is a fully onsite position supporting the day to day accounting functions for a multi entity organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background within a manufacturing or laboratory environment and enjoy working in a collaborative team setting. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, dependable, and willing to occasionally work additional hours, including evenings and rare weekends, to meet business needs. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices, customer payments, receipts, and account reconciliations.
Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly and year end close.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
Monitor and manage shared accounting email inboxes and distribute correspondence appropriately.
Respond to vendor, customer, and internal department inquiries regarding billing and payment matters.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to support daily financial operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience combinations may be considered.
Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
Manufacturing or laboratory industry experience is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting multi entity organizations is preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Self motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
