ROBOTICS ENGINEER Job Type: CONTRACT- Long TermPay: $45-$60Shift: First SUMMARY:The Robotics Engineer’s role is to support the design, integration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated systems within our manufacturing operations. This role will focus on optimizing production efficiency, improving safety, and supporting new equipment installations throughout the facility RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, program, and troubleshoot robotic systems, including industrial robotics, cobots, and automated tooling
Lead integration projects for new robotic cells, conveyors, end-of-arm tooling, and machine vision systems
Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on automation-related downtime.
Support plant engineering teams with continuous improvement initiatives to improve cycle time, quality, and throughput
Create and maintain documentation: schematics, preventive maintenance plans, and programming standards
Train maintenance and production staff on robotic system operation and safety procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Safety) on automation upgrades
Ensure compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety standards
Own Housekeeping and 5s requirements to ensure they meet company standards within the Warehouse Area
Create, review and take action on the expected receipts report
Provide and react to inventory reports on any items that are behind
Observe and maintain standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
2+ years of experience working with industrial robotics (e.g., UNIVERSAL, FANUC, ABB, KUKA)
Proficiency in robot programming, troubleshooting, and integration
Strong understanding of PLCs, sensors, and automation controls
Experience with CAD software and reading mechanical/electrical schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
Familiarity with Industry 4.0, data collection, and smart factory automation
