Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney Direct Hire | Downtown Detroit | Hybrid or On Site
Our client, a prestigious law firm located in Downtown Detroit, is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney with 5 to 8 years of experience handling sophisticated corporate and transactional matters. This opportunity offers exposure to high value transactions, a collaborative environment, and the ability to work with respected business clients across a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, LLC operating agreements, joint venture agreements, sales agreements, and other complex commercial contracts
Lead and support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic business transactions
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and execute transactions
Advise clients regarding legal risk, corporate governance, and business strategy matters
Manage transactions from due diligence through post closing integration
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active admission to the Michigan State Bar
4 to 8 years of experience focused on M&A and corporate transactional work
Prior experience in a law firm or in house legal department preferred
