M&A Associate Attorney
Locations: Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, New York, Salt Lake City, or Washington, DC
Compensation: $290 to 390K

Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a highly motivated M&A Associate with 4 to 6 years of experience to join its Transactions Practice Group. This position is available in Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, New York, Salt Lake City, or Washington, DC.
The Transactions Practice Group represents publicly and privately held middle market and upper middle market companies, as well as private equity funds, in a wide range of corporate matters. This role focuses on U.S. and cross border M&A transactions, with a strong emphasis on private equity deals.
This opportunity is well suited for an associate who is capable of managing transactions with limited supervision and is comfortable acting as a key contributor on deal execution. The role offers direct client interaction and close collaboration with partners and senior attorneys in a dynamic and team oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support complex M&A transactions from initial structuring through closing
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements and ancillary agreements
  • Conduct and manage due diligence processes
  • Advise clients on transaction strategy, risk assessment, and deal execution
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams across practice areas
  • Maintain direct communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in corporate M&A transactions
  • Experience representing clients in complex M&A deals, including private equity transactions
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Strong academic credentials
Education and Bar Admission:
  • JD from an ABA accredited law school required
  • Active bar membership in good standing in at least 1 jurisdiction
  • Ability to obtain admission in the state of the hiring office
