MACHINE BUILDERShelby Township$16-27/hr. We have an immediate openings for experienced Machine Builders for our client located in the in Shelby Township, MI. area. This role is Contract that offers weekly pay and strong potential for long-term hire based on performance. This is a day shift role, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts (6 hours). The right candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in machine building, assembly, and troubleshooting, and be ready to contribute on day one. Build mechanical sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and other mechanical tasks related to machine builds.
Follow all safety procedures and training as outlined by management, MIOSHA, and OSHA.
Complete required in-process QC check sheets and audits.
Ensure high-quality craftsmanship on all jobs being built.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas.
Take direction from Leaders and/or Supervisors.
Provide regular job status updates to the Mechanical Assembly Leader.
Understand job due dates and schedule work accordingly.
Report daily progress to Supervisor.
Assist in disassembly, packing, and loading of machines for shipment.
Fill in as needed to cover absences.
Order materials and coordinate with receiving as required.
Assist in start-up and debug of equipment.
Recommend improvements in work methods and materials to enhance efficiency and quality.
Travel as needed for installations, debug, tryout, or problem-solving at customer sites.
Read and interpret build prints; collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and Build Leaders to resolve design or control issues.
Recommend, initiate, and follow up on engineering changes in line with ECO procedures.
Support continuous improvement projects and special assignments as needed.
Train and assist new employees as required.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Machine Builder.
Strong mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret build prints and technical documentation.
Willingness to travel as needed for customer support.
Must have a clean background and be able to pass a drug screen.
