Maintenance Technician Millwright Job Type: Direct Hire Schedule: Full Time We are working with a manufacturing client in the Adairsville GA area that is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong millwright experience. This is a hands on role supporting industrial equipment reliability across production operations, including mechanical, welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. About the PositionThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy industrial machinery to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. This role supports automated paint line systems and production equipment through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and fabrication work. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance and Repair
Install, dismantle, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems
Align and calibrate machinery using precision measurement tools
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
Support automated paint line systems
Welding and Fabrication
Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding for fabrication, repair, and modification of components
Cut, grind, and assemble metal parts for custom equipment solutions
Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses
Replace seals, gaskets, and system components to maintain performance
Electrical Systems
Diagnose and repair electrical components including motors, switches, relays, and control panels
Perform electrical work in compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Track parts usage and inventory
Report safety hazards and equipment issues to management
QualificationsEducation
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or related field preferred
Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands on industrial maintenance experience
Experience with millwright work, welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, and paint booth systems
Technical Skills
Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
Familiarity with fabrication tools and techniques
Certifications
Welding certification such as AWS preferred
Forklift and overhead crane certification a plus
