CNC Maintenance ManagerLocation: Fraser MI area Shift: Day Shift 7:30 to 5:00 or 8:00 to 5:30 Pay: $105-125KJob Type: Direct Hire Our firm is partnering with a well established manufacturing company in the Fraser MI area seeking a CNC Maintenance Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This is a working lead role responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations while remaining actively involved in diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance of CNC machines and related production equipment. This position operates on day shift. Additional hours may be required to support communication and repair coordination with second shift. Position SummaryThe CNC Maintenance Manager will provide technical leadership to maintenance technicians while ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient operations. This role combines leadership responsibility with direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Coordination
Provide day to day direction and technical guidance to Maintenance Technicians
Prioritize maintenance activities based on production schedules and equipment criticality
Serve as escalation point for complex troubleshooting issues
Coordinate maintenance coverage and support overtime as needed
Support training and development of maintenance team members
Partner with Production, Engineering, and external contractors to minimize operational disruption
Technical Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines, boring mills, and related production equipment
Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electronic and mechanical systems
Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters and infrared scanners
Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
Install and maintain machine tool controls and automation systems
Ensure compliance with warranty standards and safety requirements
Administrative and Compliance
Track and close work orders accurately
Communicate repair status and estimated completion timelines
Order and manage replacement parts
Enforce Lockout Tagout procedures and safety standards
Maintain organized maintenance records and work areas
Qualifications
5+ years of CNC maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex CNC equipment
Experience leading or mentoring technicians preferred
Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment
Ability to respond effectively in machine down situations
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred
Technical degree or apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance or related field
PLC troubleshooting and machine control experience
