Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney | Corporate TransactionsDirect Hire | Detroit, MI A respected midsize law firm in the Detroit area is seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney to join its corporate practice. This position is ideal for an attorney with 4 to 8 years of experience handling complex business, corporate, and M&A matters who is ready to take an active role in sophisticated transactions. The attorney will work closely with clients and other members of the legal team on a variety of corporate transactions, with significant responsibility for drafting, negotiating, and managing complex agreements. Key Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate stock purchase agreements
Draft and negotiate asset purchase agreements
Prepare and negotiate limited liability company operating agreements
Draft joint venture documents and agreements
Draft and negotiate sales agreements and other commercial contracts
Handle complex business, corporate, and M&A matters
Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
Work directly with clients throughout the transaction process
Provide practical legal guidance related to corporate and transactional matters
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active Michigan Bar admission
4 to 8 years of experience in corporate, business, and M&A matters
Strong experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated transactional agreements
Experience with stock purchases, asset purchases, LLC operating agreements, joint ventures, and commercial contracts
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to handle complex transactional matters with a high level of independence
Law firm or relevant corporate legal experience
