SENIOR QUALITY TECHNICIANDirect HireMorgan Hill, CA$52-66k SUMMARY We are seeking a Quality Control Technician responsible for monitoring and ensuring quality standards are consistently met across all manufactured products, including electromechanical assemblies, consumer goods, and packaged/kitted items. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read blueprints and specifications
Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process
Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Operate electronic inspection equipment and software
Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
Report inspection and test data such as continuity test, resistance test, hipot test, and quantities conformant and quantities non-conformant
Check products by sight, sound, or feel to locate imperfections such as cuts, scratches, missing pieces, or crooked seams
Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing or assembly industry
Proven experience as a quality control inspector in the same industry preferred
Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient in computer software applications
Knowledge of industry products and processes
Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize multitask and prioritize workload
